Dr. Zhiqian Chen is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Mississippi State University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in 2020. Dr. Chen’s research investigates the fundamental principles of networked system dynamics by integrating machine learning, network science, and dynamical systems theory. His interdisciplinary collaborations span domains such as social networks, transportation systems, epidemiology, brain disease modeling, materials science, and circuit analysis. He is the recipient of both the NSF CAREER Award and NSF CRII Award, recognizing his contributions to interpretable and graph-based AI for dynamic and interdependent systems.
